Common questions

Good questions, straight answers.

Still deciding? Here are the things people ask us most before they start.

Talk to a human
How long until I start?

The intake takes about five minutes. A state-licensed provider reviews it within 24 hours, and if they prescribe, your medication is typically shipped 24–48 hours after approval. For most people that’s a few days from first answer to first delivery.

Am I eligible?

RivenMD is available to adults in all 50 states. The intake asks about your goals, your history, and where you live so a provider licensed in your state can review it. Eligibility isn’t decided by a form — a clinician makes that call, and the intake exists to catch anything that wouldn’t be a fit before treatment is ever prescribed.

Who prescribes? Is it safe?

Every plan is prescription-only. A provider licensed in your state reviews your intake and medical history and decides whether treatment is appropriate — nothing is dispensed without that review. Your medication is prepared by a licensed U.S. compounding pharmacy, and you can message your care team with questions anytime. It isn’t right for everyone, and your clinician makes that call.

Are these FDA-approved?

Your medication is compounded by a licensed U.S. pharmacy and prepared to your provider’s prescription. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and have not been evaluated by the FDA for safety, efficacy, or quality. Your prescribing clinician decides whether a compounded option is appropriate for you, and you can ask your care team about ingredients and dosing anytime.

How does pricing work? Can I cancel?

One flat monthly price covers your provider visit, ongoing messaging and follow-ups, your medication, and shipping. RivenMD is direct-pay — we don’t bill insurance, so there are no copays, no eligibility checks, and no surprise bills. You see the full price before you ever pay, there’s no contract or cancellation fee, and you can cancel anytime from your account.

How do I reach support?

Message your care team from your account anytime, or reach patient support by email and phone Monday–Friday, 9am–6pm CT. Real people, not bots. For anything clinical, your care team responds directly. Medical emergency? Call 911.
